Starting The Day In Natures Garden
As Dusk slowly turns to Dawn, the gentle mist lifts to reveal the tranquil surroundings of the Smoke House.
The fragrant smell of fresh flowers with morning dew glistening off its petals.
Settle in the brightly lit dining room as the sunlight streams in from above and enjoy a traditional English breakfast whilst being surrounded in a symphony of chirping birds.
Let us tell you a little secret. The sound of the pitter patter from the gentle drizzle usually brings either frowns or sadness amongst both the young and old alike. However at the Smoke House it brings a sense of calm and serendipity.
Although you plans may have been affected, exploring the Smoke House opens up new dimension to Guests.
They may choose one of the many rooms to find a quiet corner and settle in costly with a book or warm themselves by the fireplace with a drink in hand.
And as the sun begins to set and the drizzle gradually fades away, take a stroll through the gardens amongst the light evening breeze and mist.
Or go for a little walk on one of the many trails which the staff at the Smoke House would be glad to show you.
At some properties, one gets the feeling that once you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it all.
But at the Smoke House, different weathers, different seasons and even different times of the day sheds a new light and a new perspective.
Tea time at the smoke house requires no fancy suit, tie nor Sunday dress. Dainty high tea sets are served casually with buttery scones with clotted cream accompanied by pastries, sandwiches and local teas.
Enjoy high tea in a casual setting with your loved ones within the dining area or out in the garden patio amongst the the cool weather and chirping birds.
As always, we love to save the best for last. Today we decided to have more English pub favourites.
Don’t forget to have those camera phones ready as numerous main courses have the final touches prepared table side before being served.
Last but not least is our all time favourite dessert Bombe Alaska which is a must try!
Wheeled out delicately on a trolly with the brandy warmed table side and lit when your cameras are ready as it cascades out of the saucer.
Not only does it give the meringue a nice flambé but also preserves the ice cream core perfectly!
On our last morning, we decided to wake up slightly earlier to take a little walk around the premises and enjoy the surrounding nature and touches of English influence before we headed back down to the Cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur.
Straying a little from the traditional breakfast, we decided to settle for fluffy and crispy waffles topped with fresh fruit and a drizzle of strawberry sauce and maple syrup.
It was an extremely tranquil and nostalgic few days which we spent at the smoke house. Not only did we experience a traditional British countryside living but even got more intimate with Mother Nature and her beauty.
