A Look Back at 2017

MonkeyData has successfully secured another round of seed and that allowed us to further develop the app to its perfection. We have been constantly on the move, making changes to design, features, settings, and a lot more. Our team changed a lot as we hired new monkeys to the family.

This year was filled with amazing experience:

  • we attended many inspiring events (WWV, eCommerce Expo, Dx3, Shopify Unite, IRCE, BigCommerce Palooza, Lightspeed Connect, Barcamp)
  • we co-hosted Retail conference with Shopgate
  • we also hosted the very first Shopify Partner meet-up in Prague!
  • we met our clients face to face in The Netherlands and decided to open an office in Amsterdam!

Let’s recap!

Based on feedback from our loyal customers, and all the great ideas of our product team, we were able to improve both the app environment and the customer experience. Here’s a short recap of everything we managed to do this past year.

  1. Developers introduced:
  • two new killer-dashboards (Store Lab & Store Insight)
  • many new features (display settings, updated reporting, advanced chart options)

And they also improved our data import flow and security (and many more invisible yet invaluable bits and pieces).

2. iOS and Android team perfected both our mobile apps.

3. Product crew worked on some extras for our users (smart tooltips, simplified pricing).

4. Graphic team enhanced the app design.

Most of all, we launched the Point of Sale dashboard (and integrated Countr, Lightspeed POS, and Shopify POS). Combining POS with marketplaces & online stores’ data, we introduced our vision of the Omnichannel strategy. All in all, it helped us find our ultimate goal for MonkeyData (to perfect it into the #1 omnichannel analytics app in the world) as well as identify the following steps of our journey for Product Analytics, our brand new app designed for Lightspeed.
