Wow that was fast! Already 2 weeks into our Beta launch and we are already releasing our second patch.

Security, security and Security.

That’s right a lot of security fixes this time. We are pleased to announce that monPlan is now protected with an Extended-Validation (EV) TLS Certificate.

See that ‘Monash University [AU]’ label? Well, that looks cool and satifying

We will now enforce HTTPs for EVERYTHING!!!! More secure communications 🔐!!!!

Emails? ✉️

This is actually what happens behind the scenes when you request a course map to be sent.

Emails are now served with our website, only allowing traffic from itself to request emails. You can now request to send yourself an email every 5 minutes.

We also have improved our email service, so that it has a faster response time as we have migrated our microservice back onto Google Cloud Platform. 💯🚀

Something that we have also have down is get slightly better exports then before (though PDF exports aren’t really there yet 😢)

What about Printing?

Printing has changed much, we only have added one small change to the printing, at the bottom of you course plan you will now get a timestamp 📅🕐. Of when the print/export was requested. I think that is pretty 🔥, and you won’t be confused 😕 ever again.

Other Fixes

Other fixes include:

  • Improved Mobile Experience
  • Enhanced alignment with Monash University Brand Guidelines
  • Minor Text Fixes

A lot of this feature/bugs that was fixed in last week’s patch (v2018.0.5) and this week’s (v2018.1.0) were reported by you guys. So thanks very much for the 😍.

monPlan is the Monash Course Planner, for Students by Students. It is made with ❤️ in (Clayton, ) Melbourne, Australia.
