Divörsity at mySugr
In October 2018 mySugr took part in Divörsity, the first ever Austrian Days of Diversity, in a Nationwide action with businesses and organisations at the centre. We were proud to show our company culture as an example to lead by. We at mySugr foster and appreciate the differences in each other AND are proud of it! “Diversity is about being aware that none of us are the same and about cherishing these differences because they enrich our lives,” explains Nadine, product owner at mySugr. Being the initiator who proposed and implemented this event at the Vienna headquarters, Nadine emphasized how important inclusion is in order for every team member to feel comfortable.
The idea for our Divörsity day event was based on the concept of Denmark’s TV2 inspiring video, “All that we share”. We celebrated this day in true mySugr fashion with all our international team coming together to build our company name using Post-its, in an afternoon that brought us even closer as colleagues and friends. With our own twist we celebrated not only our differences but also what we have in common and our united mission at mySugr. As an added bonus, we also had our wonderful team from the United States participating in the celebration of this special day. For us, the Divörsity event highlighted everything that is incredible about our company culture: the support for one another, the fun and laughter that is had and our strength as a team.
