We have been extremely happy with the response from the community so far, with over 15 Million VET worth of tokens staked by the community within a week of launching. The launch of mainnet trading marks an important milestone for the DEX in its journey towards enabling a more efficient and inter-connected VeChain ecosystem.

Important Notes for Traders

While we are more than happy with the initial level of liquidity on the DEX, we must remind traders to always check their exchange rate before executing a trade. The interface will tell you your expected result and the exchange will also ensure you receive within a few percent of your expected amount. This prevents large orders from swaying the price just before a user’s trade is executed.

While the interface along with market makers work to protect you from significant price deviations, you are still advised to always check the rate before you send the transaction. If the exchange rate seems significantly off, your order may either be too large, or the exchange rate may need arbitraging. Arbitraging simply refers to when a trader buys or sells a currency for a better rate on the DEX than on a centralized exchange, in order to turn a profit and improve the efficiency of the DEX for non-arbitraging traders.
