A Love Letter

How are you?
Our eyes met quite often
in the park, at the beach
even, through the window grills.
From far away, I could see
the longing in your eyes
could feel, your throbbing heart
seeking me.
When the whole universe slept
you stayed awake, gazing at me
you know, you made me blush.
Going crazy over me
falling head over heel
deeply in love with me
(my bestie Bhavna told me so
as you confessed to her!)
you made me feel so precious.
I felt the sorrow in your heart
when I was away in the night
worry not, I am still here
just having a beauty sleep
it is a lady’s thing, you know!
It is a pleasure watching you
working on your lyrics in the night.
For now, let us stay like this
admiring each other from far
knowing that we love each other.
For now, you bask in my glow
feel my love and warmth
I will hang around here
sending you love letters”
