Rendezvous At The Beach

do you remember
the walks on the beach
holding our hands
barefoot on the sand
playing with the waves
all wet and frothy
writing our names on the shore
a jealous sea wiping it clear
tiny crawling crabs
finding a home in the sandcastles
lying on your lap
counting the stars
telling stories
singing songs
your hands feeding me
a still-warm ‘mee goreng’*
waves of emotion
crashing on the stone heart
seagulls screaming above
under the beaming moon
with your fingers
running through my hair
I fell asleep on your lap
only to be wakened up
by the still jealous sea
splashing on my feet
foamy saltwater
I look up at your glowing face
I see the moon so near to me
I see the stars in your eyes
I felt like flowing water
I became the undulating sea
you the ever receiving shore
and we became one.

Love is progressing by the sea.
How to forget the moon?
And the wild sea is always calming and fascinating.
All lovers at least once experience the sea.

Thank you for following this love series.

*mee goreng is fried noodles in thick spicy gravy.
