We are all in this together! Even if we can’t hold hands right now.

This is a true confession somewhere hidden in us with the things, now hoping to turn back smooth after so many days and we really need a break from these bad times.

The pandemic continues to dramatically affect our lives. Including our relationships with other people in our communities, our families, our homes, and our workplaces.

Millions of us have lost some, or even all, of what was our normal ways of meeting others, as we try to keep each other safe.

Many of us have also found ourselves spending far more time than before with those who share our homes, whether family, housemates or both. Not to mention pets.

Both losing face-to-face contact with people and being thrown into much closer contact than usual. This can feel stressful and worrisome, frightening, or even unbearable.

With the ongoing uncertainty about coronavirus, these stresses on our relationships are probably harder to cope with.
So it’s worth trying to be extra patient and understanding, both with each other and also ourselves.

Why not share some things which can help each other to get over and make our time more enjoyable.

Perhaps you feel bored, frustrated, or lonely. It’s important to remember that it’s OK to feel this way and that everyone reacts differently.

Remember, for most of us, these feelings will pass. Staying at home may be difficult, but you’re helping to protect yourself and others by doing it.

1. Stay connected to others

Maintaining healthy relationships with people you trust is important for your mental wellbeing.

Think about ways to stay in touch with friends and family by phone, messaging, video calls, or social media.

2. Talk about your worries

It’s normal to feel a bit worried, scared or helpless about the current situation. Remember: it is OK to share your concerns with others you trust and doing so may help them too.

3. Look after your body

Our physical health has a big impact on how we feel. In times like these, it can be easy to fall into unhealthy patterns of behavior that end up making you feel worse.

4. Do not stay glued to the news

Try to limit the time you spend watching, reading, or listening to coverage of the outbreak, including social media, and turn off breaking news alerts on your phone.

5. Carry on doing things you enjoy

When feeling worried, anxious, lonely, or low, we stop doing things we usually enjoy.

Make an effort to focus on your favorite hobby if it is something you can still do at home. Or start a new hobby: read, write, do crosswords or jigsaws, bake, or try drawing and painting. Whatever it is, find something that works for you.

6. Get good sleep

Good-quality sleep makes a big difference to how we feel, so it’s important to get enough.

In closing

Tough times reveal, what really matters,

Your True Friends, Resilience and Resourcefulness

AND

HOW AMAZINGLY STRONG YOU ARE.
