My Heart Could Use a Heist

My heart’s a bank full of tons of love
Just sitting idly — waiting
And though times have been promising
It still waits for that perfect heist.
The person who’ll plan it in a foolproof way,
A crime that will be pardoned anyway.
They steer clear of my surveillance cameras,
And adorn nothing but a mask ‘o’ character
So I immediately know they’re the one
Instead of running away; I run toward them
give them the locker code, that’s rusted for centuries
— To let them in and steal my heart away
And free me of the burden I’d been carrying all the way.
