Winds From The East

An odd wind blew in from the East

Deep in the forest,

an odd wind blew in from the east,

disturbing the evergreen leaves

the moss on the trees,

that wind blew in

a sweet cloying smell.

The smell of trouble,

for those that lived peacefully in

the forest.

In the deep center of the forest,

lived one that craved

trouble,

that craved the unrest of all things,

it was this vile creature

that inhaled the breeze and smiled,

today would be his day,

the day that would end all days,

for this wind was the call of his brethren,

the call to arms,

the call to rise up and finally attack

those who dared to have claimed their lands

so long ago.
