Monzo CEO won’t take salary for 12 months after limited number of staff offered voluntary furlough
Monzo, the U.K. challenger bank with over 4 million account holders, is taking a number of precautionary steps to help see it through the current coronavirus downturn, including voluntary furloughs and its CEO forgoing a salary.
An open letter from the online travel agency MisterFly to Alexandre de Juniac, IATA CEO, published less than a week ago in the French newspaper L’Echo, accuses the organization of having left “the planet” due to its response to agents travel billing and settlement plan (BSP).
Accor has also suspended its dividend of €280 millions ($304 million), Chief executive Sébastien Bazin said the “drastic actions” were painful but necessary given that more than half of Accor’s 5,000 hotels worldwide were already closed because of the disease and that figure would rise to “over two-thirds” in the coming weeks.
