Ideas are worthless

And why challenges are blessed

Ideas are like seeds

One seed in the dark soil grows to a myriad of branched possibilities. And needs tons of resources (water and sunlight) to explore each one. Fun to watch in nature. Yet painstakingly slow. And its fruits uncertain gifts of the future.

Challenges are like trees

A grown tree knows its roots and its environment. It sheds millions of new seeds from one branch with little use of energy. Rattling new branches for more seeds is easy once you know how it worked with one.

Would you rather plant trees — than grow from seeds? Would you rather harvest seeds from grand challenge trees — than water the earth to see what magic seeds will grow?

How do you see this relate to Entrepreneurship and Innovation?
