Yelp and Eversheds Helsinki
The high cost of living as the little person; is, if they try and fuck you, you will likely die in the queue of trying to get some sort of restitution.
Here’s a scenario for you…
It’s an oft-repeated scenario…
So I hear.
A retired attorney with thirty or forty years experience, an auxiliary member of the Finnish judiciary, defrauds a person and threatens to shoot them, along with a maybe-drunken haze of bigoted emails. I say maybe-drunken, because, you have to give someone the benefit of the doubt, even if the doubt is, “were you drunk when you sent that?” I am am in no way saying they were, just, when the other option is B.) You’re a hideous bigot, you have to hope someone was in some shape or form otherwise incapacitated.
It turns out the attorney has been a named partner in several of Finland’s largest earning firms.
It turns out you’re not supposed to sign yourself as an attorney when you’re retired.
What happens when your lawyer claims to have no knowledge of your ex-attorney auxiliary judge landlord? Yet works with a considerable number of people from his old firm?
What happens when your lawyer claims that he could find no record of the landlord attorney who has written articles for the Finnish Bar Association with the Finnish Bar Association?
What happens when your lawyer claims to represent you in a case against a well-known attorney he claims to have no knowledge of? That he says he can find no record of with the Bar Association.
Well, that’s a tricky question…
It is also a funny question as the landlord attorney in question’s wife was the President and Vice President of the Finnish Bar Association at points in time.
I cannot recall whether it is a crime or even bad if an attorney lies to their client to protect what may or may not be a conflict of interest.
I know one thing.
Time is a precious commodity.
Especially when you’re dying.
So…
We turn to Yelp.
A popular review site. You might have heard of it.
It is not much, but it’s a form of restitution.
So you take the time to write a review of the law firm in question, you may have heard of them, they’re in the title.
Shortly thereafter, Yelp removes the review and accuses you of falsifying it.
Yelp tells you it is not first hand experience.
You then provide proof to Yelp.
Yelp reply that you are still lying. They accuse you of embellishing events.
The only recourse is to send Yelp quite a lot of information, including photographs of a head wound and correspondence.
Yelp accuse you of lying on the public forum of Twitter.
It seems odd that Yelp are going to bat so hard for Eversheds. But go to bat they do.
Yelp try the vaguely threatening tactic of mentioning legal ramifications.
You’ve already provided documented proof of your lawyer trying to coerce you into giving up any say in a case they represent you in.
Yelp decides to stick to the guns of accusing you of lying.
Fuck Yelp.

If you lie to your client about knowledge of an attorney they have a case against and actively do nothing, and thus, hinder a case. If your firm takes a defamation case against your ex-client, will they have to prove you are completely incompetent with no knowledge of the last even fifteen to twenty years of the Finnish legal system you claim to be an attorney-at-law in? What happens when they prove you are completely incompetent? Or, that you lied to your client? Old boy’s networks are strange things and the young often do not realise when they will be abruptly thrown under the bus.

This is Finland.I found Eversheds through a friend who has legal insurance for her work.A young male lawyer was recommended for me.The initial case was a matter of being stabbed, whilst sitting, by a standing fellow immigrant, who was attempting to blind me. When he could not blind me, he tried to bury his the solid metal pen into the artery of my throat. When this failed, he managed to bury it into my head. Partially blinded by blood, I managed to subdue him, whilst being OZ-stabbed.Laughing, the cops would later try and make it a fight. They’ll push that point until I show them my punctured hands.2nd case was with my landlord, an auxiliary judge who’d defrauded me over an apartment and the illegal construction of an illegal flamenco school. His whole defence on it, whilst sending me racist jokes about Irish people getting raped in the ass, was that he didn’t know and the building manager was a known criminal. It’s his legal duty to know and the buildings legal duty to inform him.A writer on a state language course, I was unable to afford the €310+- an hour what the Eversheds lawyer charged.I was told he was so sure of the case that he’d take it no-win-no-fee.He will discover the case was not investigated by the police and make comments like “I hope it’s not because you are Foreign” this’ll seem sympathetic until a glance his social media reveals him to be posting weird anti-immigrant posts from True Finn white nationalist type celebrities.The Finnish Police will laugh at the death threats. One witness will disappear. A Kurd who worked as an interpreter for the US.The 2nd witness will organise meetings to tamper with the case, then lie to the police.The Eversheds lawyer will refuse to act on any of this.My landlord, a retired international business lawyer and auxiliary judge will begin signing emails as a lawyer. Whilst blackmailing the building board in email. It’s all for show. On paper it’s still blackmail though.It is against the rules to sign yourself as a lawyer if not practicing and insured. Something about false representation, rule of law, things like that.My landlord, a retired international business lawyer&auxiliary judge has stood over me, mimed my getting shot with a shotgun whilst saying “No one needs to get shot” in the apartment I rent from him. My lawyer has no interest in this. Nor will the police. Who’ll tell me it’d ruin his reputation.I’ll ask my lawyer about making a bar complaint against the landlord re: signing himself as a lawyer while retired. Literally, in email, I’m told that I cannot ask any questions about police negligence, the disappearing witness or death threats and he will be my lawyer or if I do, he’ll quit. He is fired.He submits a 17k bill for the landlord case. It will have a 7 day grace period & arrive two days late, giving 5 days. Later A 6k bill for the no win no see case. It will have a 7 day grace period & arrive two days late, giving 5 days. This bill is magic as at no stage was I ever shown an invoice.I have an interesting time in court as they discuss him grossly overcharging. I’m forced to submit a bar complaint against my lawyer & Eversheds. The Eversheds lawyer’s rebuttal to the Finnish Bar Association complaint will be an exercise in contempt for the process & unprofessional crude basic illiteracy, lack of spell check and insulting the client.-2/10If -eleventy was a number I’d have used that.Allegedly,In my opinionDo not use Eversheds Finland, they are corrupt and racist and they will overcharge you. Eversheds of Finland will not do the work they’re overcharging you for.When you hire another lawyer to do the work, they’ll have difficulty hiding their reactions at the Eversheds bill for work not done.Don’t move to Finland and get stabbed in the face and throat and head.You will not be able to leave due to case fraud.Also, try not rent from a member of the Finnish Judiciary.If they commit fraud against you, you’ll not be able to move due to the withholding of rent receipts as punishment for talking back. Eversheds will not help you with this.
Some points dissected for the curious
- Re: Eversheds overcharging - this was discussed in court and there will exist minutes of members of the Finnish bar discussing the size of the bill.
- Re: Not doing the work they claimed - At one point I was told my Eversheds lawyer would be opening a second case against the building and its illegal dancehall. I gave formal notice as requested for this to be carried through. It would not be until much later that I would discover this case had never been taken and emails or letters never sent. Still thinking this had happened, I questioned a member of the building board involved, you may remember him, I wrote a piece about him. I was informed, whilst recording the audio, that no such thing had happened.
- I have not even touched upon the lawyer refusing to write the letters requested and asking me to write them in a case he was representing me in.
- Corruption on an If Y then X basis — They are either incompetent as a simple search of the landlord shows his legal history or they’re corrupt or both.
- The case was handled by a second law firm with less than a 10th of the grief. Edit: Or so, I thought, turns out, you can’t escape the corrupt here. But, more on that later.
- Eversheds attempted to charge for itemised billing / receipt.
- Screen grabs have already been taken of the dubious social media posts.

There’s more!
What happens when that young male lawyer from Eversheds Helsinki has been revealed to have held positions within the Finnish Bar Association.
Held…or…holds…member…vice member…apples…oranges…
And is listed as a Finnish Bar Association mediator.
And what happens when a careful bit of digging reveals, that the landlord, the fraudulent one, who threatened to shoot you and arrogantly forwarded you emails about fucking whores and raping Irish people in the ass.
That his wife, the one who is still practising law, the one whose work email he has been using to reply to these matters, yes, that wife, was not just a vice chair person of the Finnish Bar Association.
But has credentials that read…

Seems a terrible thing to do to an unknowing colleague within the Finnish Bar Association.
Seems a terrible thing to lead your successful unknowing spouse in to.
Seems a terrible thing to do to the tenants rights lawyer who mention they have a conflict of interest two years into the matter. Granted, they did say they didn’t want to be involved previously, but then they mention they’re also an auxiliary judge.
Oh that last bit?
Never mind that…
All I know is,

Author’s Note:
In my experience, Finnish Bar Association mediators, are trained to do nothing and say nothing. They will nod a lot and leave the meeting. They may not have even taken any notes. They will also remember nothing of importance. Let alone the racist comments made at the expense of their client. This is only the experience of the author, elsewhere, for other people, they may be great mediators. Like really great, out there, mediating the absolute shit out of things, like pros, like some sort of mediating ninjas that mediate so softly you cannot hear them mediate… just not for me…in my experience.

Maybe you could tell me, is it generally accepted that a lawyer’s spouse, retired lawyer or not, has free access to use their spouse’s work email?
