Black Women Excellence
In today’s society, do you believe that black women receive enough credit for their amazing achievements and success?
From fighting for equality to sports to film, Black women have made many great contributions and deserve to be celebrated for their achievements. Black women have played as major key figures throughout history as they have continued to break through the barriers of gender and racial status and excel to great levels. There is a long list of great black women who have done amazing things that have forever marked their names down in history, but lets take the time to acknowlege a few black women game changers of today’s age.
First, lets take the time to acknowledge First Lady Michelle Obama of the first ever Black President of the United States. She has created the image that anything is possible to many young black women across the world. She has shown grace and class with her high levels of intelligence while also having her own light that has never been exhibited from a first lady. She have displayed sides of her genuine personality that has made the world feel as if they know her personally. First Lady Michelle Obama is definitely a game changer who deserves to be acknowledged for her accomplishments.
Serena Williams is one of the greatest world professional tennis players. She became the world №1 for the first time on July 8, 2002. On the sixth occasion, she held the ranking for 186 consecutive weeks, tying the record set by Steffi Graffi for the most consecutive weeks as world No.1 by a female tennis player. In total, she has been world №1 for 319 weeks, which ranks her 3rd in the Open Era among female tennis players. Some commentators, players and sports writers regard her as the greatest female tennis player of all time. She is definitely someone who deserves to be acknowledged for her achievements.
Beyonce also know as “Queen B” is one of the most hard working entertainers of all time. Throughout her career, she has sold an estimated 100 million records as a solo artist, and a further 60 million records with the group Destiny’s Child, making her one of the best selling artist in history. She has won 22 Grammy Awards and is the most nominated woman in the award’s history. She is also the most awarded artist at the MTV Music Video Awards, with 24 wins. The Recording industry association recognized Beyoncé as the Top Certified Artist in America during the 2000s (decade). In 2009, Billboard named her the Top Radio Songs Artist of the Decade, the Top Female Artist of the 2000s (decade) and awarded her their Millennium Award in 2011. In 2014, she became the highest-paid black musician in history and was listed among Time’s 100 most influential people in the world for a second year in a row. Fordes listed her as the most powerful female in entertainment of 2015, and in 2016 she occupied the sixth place for Person of the Year.
