Trump Trolls Again
Its My Military and I Want A Parade Now!
“The marching orders were: I want a parade like the one in France,” an anonymous military official said.
According to the Washington Post, President Donald Trump’s idea for a military parade is becoming more of a reality. The Pentagon and The White House have not settled on a specific date of when the military parade will occur, but officials say they have begun to plan a grand military parade to show off America’s armed forces.
The United States has had four military parades and each one has followed the conclusion of a war: The Civil War, World War I, World War II, and The Persian Gulf War. America is not in World War III yet, so this military parade idea is laughable at best.
Trump is still under the illusion that he is in competition with other world leaders like North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, France’s Emmanuel Marcon, and Germany’s Angela Markel, but these stunts only prove to make him look more un-presidential.
Instead, of bolstering his ego, why doesn’t the man accused of dodging the Vietnam War [Trump] address his comment on Sen. John McCain’s service in Vietnam. “I don’t like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said of Sen. McCain.
Trump never apologized to Sen. McCain for his disparaging comments on the veteran’s service which could impose the assumption that he does not hold the military in high regard despite his infatuation with the use of it.
Why is Trump not freely speaking about the underlying racism that still plagues his administration? After all, his chief-of-staff John Kelly recently said that young DACA immigrants that failed to re-apply were “too lazy to get off their asses.”
Trump wants a military parade that will cost around $10–30 million, but wants to cut funding for poor people who receive SNAP benefits. The percentage of people who receive SNAP benefits: 39.8% white, 25.5% African-American, 10.9% Hispanic, 2.4% Asian, and 1% Native American.
Trump’s actions show that he has little regard for underprivileged American citizens, particularly people of color. The military parade idea continues to distract from the issues that America people are facing today. The wealthy are STILL receive huge tax cuts, the Mueller investigation is STILL looming, and the ludicrous turnover rate of the White House Administration is STILL very present.
Most recently counter terrorism efforts to prevent school shooting such as Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech (and now Parkland where over 17 people were killed after 19-year old Nicolas Cruz opened gunfire around 2:20 E.S.T. Wednesday afternoon) is still up in the air, with no legislation being passed to assist in gun control.
Tragedies, racism, and international relations should be major things that Trump puts his focus on, but instead, he is organizing military parades for leisure. It shows that Trump does not have the mindset of a world leader, and unless he changes his attitude over the rest of his term, then the country will continue to suffer as a result of his childish actions.

Why does Trump have to use the presidency to gloat about things being “much bigger” and “more powerful” while attacking other world leaders? The very same reason why he wants the military parade to be “much bigger” than the one in France. It is like a child saying that my toy is better than yours. Let’s just hope that World War III doesn’t break out due to this.
