I saw my first pachinko¹ machine when I was about 6 or 7 years old. It was at the home of a family friend. He had been in the military and brought one back from Japan. I had no idea what it was. All the grown-ups were busy talking, so I was kind of on my own. I saw that machine sitting in the house.
