I headed out for a light dinner with my friends. We hadn’t met since March 2020, the time when the government here started social distancing and restricted group gathering to prevent Coronavirus’s spreading.
I arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes late. I messed up with my calendar a bit lately.
I was feeling a shiver while taking the metro to the restaurant. That’s why I decided to take a glass of Smoky Negroni, hoping that it would warm me up.
My friend was sharing that she’s excited to have her own quality time today in a nice hotel in the city. The name of the hotel suggested me that it’s a boutique hotel.
“It sounds really nice”, I said.
“How is your husband doing?”, I asked. “How was it with you guys during the pandemic time?”, I continued with the second question while looking at her.
Then my eyes aimlessly moved on to the strawberry mocktail that she’s having.
