I’m doing daily Bible verse readings to share, grow, and impact others for good!

Amos 5:14 (NLT)

‘Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed.’

We need to seek the Lord by seeking what is good. Seek what is good to find life. The requirements of God here are simple. Seek Him and find salvation! Always stay on the path to the right and in the light.

God cannot have a relationship with us when we love evil. Notice the middle of verse 14. Seek good “so the Lord, the God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper.” Seeking good is the only way we can maintain a relationship with God. God is only with us when there is a return to godly behavior.

We cannot claim to be the people of God and then engage in ungodly behavior. Seeking the Lord is to hate evil and love good. We cannot love evil and seek God. These two things do not work together. You may think you are seeking God while loving evil, but you are not going to find God. You will not have a relationship with him.
