The Key to Your Personal Growth is a Word You’ve Never Heard of…

… it’s called eustress.

“EUstress” is the key to personal growth.

In Designing Your Life, authors Bill Burnett and Dave Evans recommend that you keep a “good times” journal describing how you felt when you were doing different activities. Their idea is that you can try different things, monitor your feelings, and figure out what works for you.

It sounds like a great idea for finding your passion.

Except that nobody cares about your passion.

Keeping track of how you feel is an unreliable way of discovering what sorts of activities will get you what you want.

Wantings and feelings are different things.

The fact is that personal growth requires eustress.
