MorphCast are introducing an original AI-based Ad format at Cannes, called adaptive-media.

Adaption based upon facial analysis is as old as humanity. Adaptive-media is digital media that adapts naturally to the viewer in real-time based upon how they appear and how they react, just as humans instinctively adapt to each other. When you meet someone for the first time and you don’t know their name, have not seen their social profiles, you have no problem simply adapting to the person in front of you, based upon facial inputs such as demographics, emotions and whether they are paying attention. Adaptive-media achieves something very similar using the device camera and AI.

Personal privacy is fundamental to our technology which fully conforms to GDPR. There is no recording nor storing of biometric data. The user must always allow camera and all image frames are destroyed in under a tenth of a second.

Unlike conventional linear digital advertising formats, adaptive-media content can branch based upon facial inputs from the viewer. By setting inputs such as emotion, demographic and attention, ours is the first video format that can perceive and adapt to the user in real-time. This is our GDPR compliant facial analysis software.

MorphCast Studio allows creators to build adaptive-media experiences by activating pre-set events in branching nodes to trigger digital content from user inputs. Adaptive-media plays on a small 300KB player that downloads automatically in the browser, no app or plug-in are required.
