Overview

Morpheus Labs GDPR Readiness Program

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which goes into effect on May 25, 2018, provides data subjects with an array of privacy rights, which provide individuals with greater transparency into and control over uses of their personal information.

Morpheus Labs GDPR Readiness is part of its holistic compliance investments. Our main goal is to prepare our organization and platform to become GDPR compliant when our platform roadmap will achieve the commercialization phase.

The personal identifiable information that we have collected will be kept safe.

What are we doing as a business?

The GDPR readiness program is divided in two key drivers.

We bear the primary responsibility for ensuring that our processing of personal data will be compliant with EU data protection law.

A Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) role will be created and a privacy related tasks will be assigned to manage internal processes and activities related to the processing of personal data. The progress and outcomes will be published to the community through our news channel and media publications.

  • Platform readiness

Morpheus Labs, that is developing the Blockchain Platform As Service (BPaaS) accordingly with the published roadmap, has established that the product design and development will align with these privacy rights and the needed features and functionality will be made available in BPaaS to support a GDPR obligations as per Art. 16 GDPR:

  • Transparency and Accountability
  • Access and Rectifications
  • Right to be Forgotten
  • Restriction Processing
  • Data Portability

While BPaaS platform is under development, Morpheus Labs has recently announced that Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been selected as secure cloud infrastructure provider to host the Morpheus BPaaS.

AWS complies with ISO 27018, a code of practice that focuses on protection of personal data in the cloud.
