DeFi Masterclass Webinar Event Recap —From Noob to Ninja in 90 minutes
We we asked people why they haven’t used DeFi products yet, the most common reply was that they just haven’t found the brainspace for it yet. We decided to do some hand-holding to show people that it really isn’t that difficult!
The DeFi Nation & Mosendo team put on a live Webinar to teach people how to use some core DeFi products. Some of them had never touched crypto before. It went so well that we have decided to do another one. [If you want to find out when that is, join the Facebook group!]
This was the first event of its kind, and we were all nervous with excitement when it began. We had 26 people drop in and receive $10 DAI each c/o Mosendo’s “money links” — URLs that are actual bearer assets and were redeemed when the participants clicked on the links.
What did our fledgling DeFi masters accomplish?
- They each received 10 DAI via Mosendo’s Money Links
- They got their very own Metamask wallet
- They learned about GAS and how it may impact the speed of transactions
- They learned about public addresses & how to send assets, as well as the importance of private keys
- They swapped ETH for DAI on Kyber
- Finally, equipped with DAI and ETH to fuel it, they loaded it onto Fulcrum.trade to earn 10% APR!
The Webinar was led by Mosendo CEO & Co-Founder Rossco Paddison, with his loyal support team, Mosendo’s Head of DeFi Clayton Roche and CMO Paul Holland. When people got stuck, Paul and Clayton sent direct messages to people to help them through.
