The Mossland project, which leverages these groundbreaking technologies to blend the real world with the virtual, stands at the forefront of this trend. It is pursuing unique strategies for sustainable growth and development.
📖 Adoption of Open Source: A New Horizon for Knowledge and Collaboration
One of the pivotal changes within the project is the proactive adoption of open source. Mossland is releasing all development outcomes as open source and transitioning towards a decentralized development team to enhance long-term sustainability.
Open source significantly contributes to sharing Mossland’s technology and knowledge openly, fostering collaboration with external developers to promote scalability and improvements.
Since the latter half of 2022, Mossland has been sharing its source code on GitHub, providing an opportunity for the community and developers to participate and contribute on a widely recognized platform.

🔱 Decentralized Development Teams: Reducing Risks and Ensuring Sustainable Growth
Another core strategy is the establishment of decentralized development teams. This aims to accelerate project development and innovation, minimize risks from delays and interruptions, and expand the Mossland project development ecosystem.
Encourage participation of open source developers by activating open source communities
- Mossland aims to increase participation of open source developers and expand various services using MossCoin.
Mossland supports open source developers through developer support programs and open source hackathons. - Furthermore, Mossland has successfully organized events like the Blockchain Game Jam Seoul (2018), Metaverse Hackathon Open (2022), and sponsored university blockchain hackathons (since 2018) to activate the blockchain development ecosystem.

Mossland is conducting the following activities to encourage open source developers and contributors

Another critical aspect for sustainable growth is enhancing project transparency. Mossland is dedicated to the following efforts.
- Publicizing project planning and development processes from inception: Providing high transparency to the community and investors by openly sharing project direction and progress on GitHub, with security-sensitive information kept private.
- Project assessment via MossCoin Dashboard: Real-time monitoring of project progress, direction, developer capabilities, etc., using GitHub commit logs and activity statistics.
- (In Progress) Establishing Mossland DAO to allow investors to participate in project decisions and transparently verify project budgets and progress.
