Oh hello again 😃 It’s that time of the week when we share some hot takes and inspiration that caught our eye, let’s get to it!

1. Woset

Woset from LA works with imaginative creatives to inspire and nurture the imaginations of children — designing toys and apparel that spark storytelling, enable open play, and have more uses than the ones typically prescribed. We appreciate their visual identity and website, including custom character illustrations, animations, and interactive ‘play’ page. Visit woset.world.

2. Action Audible 🎾

Action Audible is a world-first system for augmenting live sports with sound, designed to give people who are visually impaired the ability to follow live sport. Action Audio will be available at the 2022 Australian Open.

4. How to design fear ☣️

Nuclear waste symbols need to warn people thousands of years from now. This 7 minute video from Vox media goes through how the current nuclear waste symbol was designed and philosophical design ideas on how to create signage that lasts 10,000 years.

We wanted something that was memorable but meaningless so we can educate people as to what it means – Charlies Baldwin, Environmental Health Engineer at Dow Chemical.

5. Designing a brand that fills the gap between Depop and TikTok.

Justified Studio made a new visual identity for FINDS, a video first shopping platform. The brief was to find a visual identity that communicates the hustle and spirit of a thriving online platform and their new maxim “FIND it, love it, show it.”

The thinking was that we wanted a marque to feel like it was as unique as the audience and to have the feeling of motion whilst also feeling as memorable when static. – Justified Studio

7. UX considerations for children

UX design for kids is not as simple as to just have a few clowns looking funny and some music playing while they use the product. First of all, you must know what difference in terms of demands lies between children and adults. Read about it on Eleken’s blog.
