Welcome to the Weekly Nugget — Most Studios Friday wrap-up, where we share nuggets of inspiration from the world of tech, branding & design.

1. Sona — A web3 streaming platform for music

Music streaming economics are flawed, with artists earning minimal returns per stream. Sona, co-founded by the artist TOKiMONSTA, seeks to revolutionize this by creating an artist-centric platform combining free streaming with a marketplace using a web3 streaming platform and decentralized finance building blocks. Unlike others, Sona allows artists to exclusively sell rewards generated within its ecosystem, with two revenue models: streaming rewards distributed based on total streams, and SONAs enabling supporters to purchase 70% of streaming royalties to support artists. Sona Technologies aims to reshape value generation, capture, and rewards in the music industry. They also have a pretty cool website.

2. The Nice List

A creative Christmas gift selection from independent creators, shops, and brands. Curated by the team at It’s Nice That. Perfect in time for your Christmas shopping!

3. Oatly’s clever forced perspective ads

Oatly’s most recent campaign aims to introduce the vegan brand to the French market. The in-house creative team at Oatly crafted the campaign, which is gaining momentum on multiple social media platforms. However, it was not very appreciated by the locals in Paris.

4. Imagine with Meta

Meta has launched Imagine with Meta, a standalone generative AI tool allowing users to create images through natural language descriptions. Similar to OpenAI’s DALL-E, it utilizes Meta’s Emu image generation model, offering free use in the U.S. Meta plans to add invisible watermarks to generated content for transparency and traceability, addressing concerns around AI-generated content authenticity.

5. Hatiye Garip — Accessible comic

Hatiye Garip’s debut long-form comic, “The Land of Uncertainty,” focuses on accessibility for blind and low-vision individuals. Using raised spot gloss ink and an audio bundle, the comic aims to make the reading experience inclusive, with the project originating from Garip’s desire to create an innovative and enjoyable work that caters to the needs of disabled individuals. The comic is built around a poem written by Garip, exploring themes of chance, unpredictability, and the escapism of nature while keeping text minimal to enhance accessibility.

6. TikTok x Ticketmaster

TikTok and Ticketmaster has previously released a ticketing feature providing a new avenue (TikTok) for fan engagement and ticket sales. They have now expanded their partnership to 20 additional countries, allowing users in regions like the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and others to discover events and purchase tickets directly within the TikTok app. he collaboration has seen successful ticketing campaigns for various artists, with over 2.5 billion views of videos using the in-app features since the beta launch.
