You know what day it is — Friiiiiiday which means we are back with more exciting design trends, and inspiration that caught our teams eyes. Here are our 7 hot takes and inspiration for the week!

1. Carlota Guerrero

Barcelona based artist Carlota Guerrero, has emerged as one of the most sought-after artists today due to the popularity of her feminine portraits. The world first learned about Carlota with Solange’s album A Seat At The Table. Since then, she has worked for numerous companies and artists, including Dior, Givenchy, Mugler, Helmut Lang, The New Yorker, Vogue, and Pop Magazine, among others.

2. Škoda

Škoda’s new brand identity, aimed to enhance the brand’s appearance on digital communication channels. One might even say that it has it’s similarities with Tesla.

3. Gay Blood

Creative agency Mother teamed up with artist Stuart Semple, to create a set of paint made with the blood of gay Mother employees to bring attention to the FDA Ban on gay blood: The Gay Blood range includes bottles, cans and pens that looks intentionally clinical with monochromatic labels that give them a pharmaceutical feel.

4. The Verge

Technology news site The Verge has unveiled a redesign and the goal was to redesign the relationship with their audience. The new, clean logo was inspired by the idea of an unfinished interface between the present and the future. The redesign also came with a cheerful new color scheme that boldly emphasized their efforts. Additionally, a variety of fresh typefaces have been added, including serifs for their body copy.

6. WeTransfer

WeTransfer has just unveiled a new independent charity, called The Supporting Act Foundation, with €600,000 worth of funding to support emerging underrepresented and underfunded artists and organisations, plus community-centred initiatives.

7. iOS16

Apple has unveiled iOS 16, their latest software update for iPhone 8 and later models. The company described iOS 16 as “the biggest overhaul to the lock screen ever” while announcing the news, giving iPhone owners a more individualized experience.
