Everyone has a daily process that they go through to get ready for their day. Waking up at 8:00 am and starting your day may look a little like this: roll out of bed, brush your teeth, have a cup of coffee, and get dressed for work. We have a similar routine, but it has an intense layer of complications. Living life with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Dissociative Disorders creates work behind the scenes that no one else can see.

When you are functioning with trauma at work, school, or in social circles you hide a private battle waged against inner foes that try to prevent your healing journey. No matter the obstacles you remain determined to have a better future by accepting the past. Here is a look behind the scenes of our life with trauma disorders.

Our morning looks like this

Wake up at an undesignated time drenched in a pool of sweat, go to the bathroom, and make sure there are no chipped teeth or bleeding on our tongue from biting it in our sleep. Night terrors happen nearly every night.
On nights that are terrible, we have episodes of sleep paralysis that haunt us.
