A smiling kid
Kids can be very exhausting,
if you are a mom or dad… you know what I’m about talking.
You make them pizza,
they wanna have pasta.
You travel with them to Nizza,
the wanna visit Alaska.
But then they smile on you,
and to be fair — Alaska and pasta is fine, too.
Next day coming,
next ideas grow and expand.
They wanna have a horse or even be a football superstar.
What a demand!
But then they smile on you,
You think about: how expensive can the world be?
No matter — we will manage that, too.
Another year later,
You tell them about A… but they do something like B or C!
You’re beginning to be frustrated — even misunderstood.
They’re doing the opposite you tell,
even it will end in hell.
Then — in hell — they do not smile on you.
They look at you with big eyes open.
But do not even think about to be “the guy who knows it better”.
At that moment, it doesn’t matter.
Keep your arms wide open,
start listening and understanding.
Then they will feel security — and maybe smile on you.
Kids have to try out.
First they challenge you — then the world.
That’s how the human society grows since century of century.
But be aware — to teach a kid to be a good parent later on,
they need a good Idol — and that will be you!
They must count on you — every day, not eventually!
At the end — do not only let the kids smile to you!
Respect them too and give them a smile back — even it’s sometime hard for you, too!
