I am a creative writer because…
Every end is a beginning in disguise
I am a creative writer because I love narrating stories. May it be real or driven by imagination. My parents & grandparents inculcated a habit of reading stories in me.
My leisure time was channelled well through reading books. Also, bed time stories won’t be missed out on! Stories with loads of characters, with a imaginative plot and a beautiful ending always fascinated me. Soon, I developed interest in autobiographies and biographies too. They fuelled my love for non-fiction works.
These stories soon became a part of my writing skills. In school I remember, English language comprised of a part called Writing Skills. It included writing essays, stories, letters and many more. Gradually, I started implying the new words I learnt from the stories, in my essays. I simply loved it. At times, our teachers would give us stories to write from a given set of words or sentences. It gave me immense pleasure to write and complete those stories by utilising my imagination and word power. That continued and eventually I decided to take a step ahead.
In High School, our English textbook comprised of a beautiful set of proses and poetry. It was absolute fun, jotting down the new words and making pairs of rhyming words. This struck an idea in my mind, to write poems. At first, they were simply meaningless, however over a period of time, they portrayed deeper meaning. Writing now became my lifeline and to celebrate it I entered another phase of the journey.
In 2017,Hindustan Times newspaper was launched in Pune and every Sunday it had a column for the citizens to express their views on a given topic. I tried my hand in the same and fortunately I could continue for a good two years! It was a magical feeling to have an article of yours published in the newspaper.
In 2020, I started posting blogs relating to Travel, Lifestyle and Poetry. My writing got recognition and I can’t thank God enough for this. Writing has always been a reflection of my thoughts. What makes it creative is my life experiences and all that I learn from them.
My grandfather Late Mr. Arun Halbe has always been a phenomenal source of inspiration for me. He has been the drive, which encouraged me to write more and better. That’s my journey of being a creative writer and I can’t wait for the surprises lying ahead.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
