Let Your Pain Fuel Hope
Amanda Gorman: The new dawn blooms as we free it. For there is always light if only we’re brave to see it, if only we are brave enough to be it.
Is life fair?
It is what you believe it is.
Obstacles and troubles may overwhelm you and may spring surprises at any phase in life. But use these instances to fuel your hope. Do not expect divine intervention in the obvious sense; God will not appear before you and sort things out, this does not happen in the literal sense!
For those who set impractical expectations, it’s a road to depression, feeling negative and sad.
For those who believe in Karma , good and bad, YES, everything that goes around comes around — true — yet, be prepared to be conscious of God’s intervention in His own subtle way.
Grow your awareness and be able to ‘see and hear’ — messages are everywhere.
At one discourse I heard, “Don’t give your mind to those who you don’t intend giving time”. This may sound unkind, but just watch how your mind suffers silently when you do this. These experiences can be avoided. When you are overwhelmed by problems, avoid those that will add up to it.
Expected and unexpected events, people behaviors, unforeseen happenings and many things can throw you off balance. Hold on and move ahead with the confidence that the power of the Supreme, visible, or not, is holding you up and afloat when troubles come by.
Make sure all happenings lead to learning.
Cling on to hope — that is the only light that leads the way.
Thich Nhat Hanh: Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.
