The Gifts Of November
What else is in store. The month has definitely begun on a high note.
The first two days of November mark my getting paid for writing! I can’t tell you how good that feels. Full disclosure, I write for a monthly local publication’s “Matters of the heart” column. Total earnings so far — $138.22. It’s not a lot. But it’s a start!
So I wondered what else November had in store for me. Hmm! I wrote a follow up message the day before to a client who participated in my program — the Ultimate Storytelling Blueprint — two months ago. Now this young lady, as I learned during our conversations, was someone who had not had her period for 10 years. 10 years! What part of you would feel feminine without your period, right? The fear of intimacy was real for her. We worked hard for 6 weeks on getting her story out. Back in 2018, I personally experienced a radical life transformation through my own storytelling. The love of my life stormed into my life. So I knew I would be able to help other people who struggled with self-love. I received her email reply.
Are you ready for this? Ladies, pay attention her. Check this testimonial out!
Her period came back! This is what I’m talking about. These are the miracles I get to witness — physical, emotional, spiritual wellness. This is a gift from god! This is how healing love is! This is the transformation I promise to those who do the work of loving themselves unconditionally. Listening with love is powerful beyond measure!
And today is the first day of Diwali — the festival of lights. Hindus across the globe celebrate this day wishing their friends and families health, wealth and prosperity. According to Hindu mythology, on this day Lord Ram, the king of Ayodhya returned to kingdom after 14 years in exile. The people couldn’t wait to have their beloved king back, so they celebrated his return by lighting up the whole kingdom with earthen diyas (clay lamps).
Every Hindu celebrates this day by lighting earthen lamps and candles outside their home, welcoming or visiting friends and family. For someone who has spent a long time by herself, having people around to celebrate life’s moments with is precious.
I believe there is light in all of us. The light is that essence of hope for a better world. And a better world starts at home, with us. We bring the light in our own life and share that with others. Last month I wrote a poem titled Where is the light. Hope you’ll enjoy it.
I will keep you posted on the rest of the gifts November has in store. There’s a lot coming. My book WIRED FOR SELF-LOVE launches on the 29th of November. #Gratitude!
