What is the greatest problem in our lives? What is the biggest disease that we are suffering from?

Why most of people, who have got tremendous amount of success, who have accumulated great Wealths are still unhappy?

What is secret of happiness?

We run after success. We search for the secret of success. We search for the secrets of accumulating wealth, how to become rich but in this journey, most of us don’t realize the simple fact or the secret of being happy.

Tell me one thing. Think and observe it. Why we want to accumulate wealth? Why we want luxuries? Why we want to become successful?

Answer is just to lead a happy life. Just to become happy.

But Still after becoming successful, rich with having a life full of luxuries, we still miss happiness from our lives. We still live an unhappy life. Most of our time pass just talking about our mishaps, misgivings.

Now think that Why we literally choose unhappy life? Why we talk about our mishaps and misgivings?

The reason is that we miss one great thing from our lives. From our talks.

And this greatest thing is GRATITUDE — BEING THANKFUL. In fact, this is the greatest secret of happiness that most of us are unable to see. Gratitude and being thankful for who we are — what we are — where we are, brings happiness to our lives.

Observe your lives — and you will find that this is the only component that you are missing. We have to celebrate, what we are — where we are — how we are. We have to celebrate every moment of our lives. Celebration and being thankful results in enormous happiness.

Either you are poor — either you have no limbs — either you have no education — either you are ugly –either you belong to backward area, whatever your condition and situation is, these all are secondary things. Only primary thing is what you are doing to change your circumstances. And in order to even think about changing your life, you have to be grateful, you have to be thankful for your life and what you are given, what your circumstances are.

Because when you are thankful, when you are grateful, then you mind will open to find ways to become happier, to bring more joy in your life.

All the great things come from the rich soil of gratitude. When you are grateful for who you are and what you are then your mind will be relax and you will see more opportunities. But when you are only thinking about misgivings and you are only comparing yourself with others, then your mind windows will be completely shut and you will not be able to see the way in front you that is leading to a successful happy life.

To lead a happy life, you have to celebrate. Celebration is the most wonderful form of gratitude. Celebrate your activities of the day. Celebrate who you are — celebrate your talents and the unique abilities gifted to you by ALLAH — The Almighty.

Just see that if Nick Vujicic has not accepted the reality and has only thought about and focused on his limbless body that he will not be able to become a successful inspirational speaker and today he would be living a miserable life like most of us, have chosen to live.

Just see that if Muniba Mazari, the Iron Lady has not accepted the reality and has only focused on her inability to move and on her wheelchair that today she will be the source of inspiration and motivation for many.

You will find many many sources of inspirations around you.

But where we got stuck, from where this unhappiness stems. All the unhappiness emerges from the very one thing — COMPARING. We compare ourselves so much that we lose our total happiness from lives. Comparing blocks our brain, create darkness in front of our eyes. We see ourselves the only one who is literally given sufferings.

Don’t Compare yourself with others, if you are doing so, you are insulting yourself.

Like Mark Twain said that Comparison is the death of Joy.

“I cannot say this too strongly: Do not compare yourselves to others. Be true to who you are, and continue to learn with all your might.” — Daisaku Ikeda

“Personality begins where comparison leaves off. Be unique. Be memorable. Be confident. Be proud.”― Shannon L. Alder

“Whatever your passion is, keep doing it. Don’t waste time chasing after success or comparing yourself to others. Every flower blooms at a different pace. Excel at doing what your passion is and only focus on perfecting it. Eventually people will see what you are great at doing, and if you are truly great, success will come chasing after you.”― Suzy Kassem

Everyone in this world has been sent with a different and unique story. So you have a unique story and it’s not worthy of comparison.

So you have to bring Gratitude in your lives. You have get this comparison habit out of your lives. Because as quoted above that our suffering will never end if never leave the habit of comparison. Our suffering will only end, will only diminish if we are thankful for who we are, what we are, where we are.

Bring gratitude into your lives. Be thankful for all the gifts you are blessed with. Be thankful for the blessed life. Be thankful for the problems you are given because difficulties help you to grow, help you to become a better version of yourselves. You are unique and you have to become only you; no-one else and nothing else. Because your all weaknesses are your unique strengths and your all disabilities are your unique abilities if you only try to observe it and be thankful.

So BE GRATEFUL and CELEBRATE EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE.
