Once a Primary School Teacher gave an assignment to the students to write what they want to become in life?

Some Students wrote Engineer, Some Doctor, some wrote astronaut, scientist and more and more.

Once student wrote I want to be HAPPY in Life.

When the teacher was checking the assignments, she found that amazing thing. She went to the student and told him, John — I think you have misunderstood the assignment.

John reply was amazing — Miss — I think you have misunderstood life.

And that’s the reality. In-fact It is a harsh reality. Many of us living a life full of luxuries, full of all the wants and wishes they have, achieved what they want in life but still miss, this important component in life. This main ingredient of life.

Everyone of us want to be successful and want to live a happy and satisfied life but not most of us actually live it. But Why? What is the reason?

Actually, in the pursuit of happiness, we have blurred the definition of success.

What we called a true success nowadays — A Rich — Luxurious Life — having a lot of wealth, having a good business, having a good job, fine home, luxury cars and much much more.

But truly this is not the real definition of success. We think that we will be happy, if have that much amount of wealth — but most are not happy having that amount of wealth. Having cars, luxurious life does not result in true happiness.

True happiness and satisfaction is found somewhere else. WHERE?

We search for happiness everywhere around us — in job, in promotions, in salary, In cars, in houses, in luxuries.

When we rush out of homes, we usually forget 3 things, KEYS — WALLET — MOBILE PHONE. When we realize than we rush back and check all the drawers, all over there in the room but then we realize that it is actually in our hand or our pocket. Same is for the happiness. We search for happiness everywhere in this world — in different things but true happiness is found inside within.

As quoted by Jim Carry that Everyone should become rich and achieve what they want in life — just to see that this is not the answer.

Actually he want to make clear that happiness and true satisfaction is not found outside but it is inside within us.

So Happiness is actually an INSIDE JOB.

Ending with some GREAT QUOTES about HAPPINESS.

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” — Dalai Lama

“It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.” — Dale Carnegie

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” ― Dr. Seuss

“If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap.’

If you want happiness for a day — go fishing.

If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune.

If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.” — Chinese Proverb

“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself — no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are — completely; the good and the bad — and make changes as YOU see fit — not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”- Stacey Charter

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” — Herman Cain

“Happiness depends upon ourselves.”-Aristotle

“It is more fitting for a man to laugh at life than to lament over it.”-Seneca

“Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”- Abraham Lincoln

“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see in truth that you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”-Kahlil Gibran

“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine.”-Morris West

“Life will bring you pain all by itself. Your responsibility is to create joy.”-Milton Erickson

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”-Mark Twain
