Sales during the 2018 Scottsdale Auction Week have recently come to a close with a sales total of $248 million between 2,600 cars. Of the top 10 most expensive sold, auction company Gooding & Company was responsible for five including the highest grossing sale of the auction with a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Speciale. The following five cars are all on the top 10 list of sales and were sold by Gooding & Company.

1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Speciale Coupe — $8,085,000

Pictured here is the 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Speciale Coupe that sold for over $8 million. This sale was not only the highlight of Gooding & Company’s sales during the auction, but also the highlight of the entire Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event. Prior to the sale, this car was stored away in a private collection for 25 years.

1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial Spider — $4,455,000

This 1954 Ferrari was the third highest sale at the auction and the second highest for Gooding & Company. This car is one of only 14 Pinin Farina-bodied Mondial Spiders ever made and even participated in the Mille Miglia Retrospective in both 1990 and 1994. It also retains its original engine.

1931 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster — $4,070,000

This Bugatti was the fourth highest grossing sale at the Scottsdale auction and the third for Gooding & Company. This car has well-documented provenance and it is also a Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® French Cup Winner! This Bugatti was the 1947 Rallye des Alpes winner and has had a beautiful restoration done by Bugatti specialists Sargent Metalworks.

1967 Ferrari 330 GTS Spider — $2,530,000

One of just 99 built, this Ferrari 330 GTS Spider was the seventh most expensive car sold at the Scottsdale auction this year. The car came complete with known provenance since it was new as well as the correct handbooks, tool roll, and a Massini report. Not only does it have its original engine, but it also has optional air-conditioning! This was the fourth highest sale for Gooding & Company at the auction.

2014 Pagani Huayra — $2,090,000

A slight departure from the vintage cars on this list, this 2014 Pagani was Gooding & Company’s fifth highest grossing sale and the ninth highest sale at the auction. This car is number 87 of 100 produced in total. It also happens to be optioned in the rare U.S. specification. This car was ordered with a fully exposed Carbonio Rosso carbon fiber body. It sold with less than 1,000 miles on the odometer and was accompanied by the books, covers, and specially ordered fitted luggage.
