It is a really big deal when a car is invited to appear in an event during the Monterey Classic Car Week — what many consider the largest car show on the planet.

So you could imagine GT Motor Cars’ surprise when they found out their 2005 Ferrari 575 SuperAmerica was invited to participate in two events during the 2017 event.

The multiple award-winning vehicle with only 4,000 original miles will be featured in “The Great Ferraris” class during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on Saturday, August 19. The car was also invited to be a part of the North American celebration of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, which will take place on the first fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Course.

Among its many honors, the 2005 Ferrari 575 SuperAmerica, which was purchased new by multiple auto team owner Roger Penske, is Ferrari Red Book Classiche Certified, 2017 Cavallino Platino Award Winner, Ferrari National 2017 Platinum Award Winner and earned “Best V12” Honors at the 2017 Daytona Nationals.
