What we love about Just Move In:
One of our team members had used Just Move In when moving into their new house over the pandemic, as being a recent start-up founder, they wanted a streamlined process so that the home was usable for work and living as soon as they moved in.
As a user of Just Move In, I saw first hand how they streamline the tedious process of setting up all new subscriptions, utilities and tax documents. Since then, it’s been a pleasure to support the team through their funding round for a total of $5m. At Mountside we’re excited to see the team deploy the funds to scale up and become a staple for all home moves across the country.

Their digital home move assistant combines layers of automated technology with world-class customer support. They have long-standing relationships with hundreds of estate agencies, property partners, and technology
businesses, who embed their co-branded products into their customer journeys.
They also integrate with 3rd parties via APIs, with scope for adding additional financial services.
In 2021, Just Move In received over 55,000 moves and employed more than 40 people.
They are a proud B Corporation, and ethics are at the core of everything they do which results in a clear USP in an industry that has historically been treated with suspicion by consumers.
Mountside <> Just Move In
We partnered with Tom and Ross on their fundraise as we believed there was a huge market opportunity for removing a large portion of stress from the home moving journey via digital automation. For context, there are 29 million homes in the UK alone, with over 4 million home moves per year, so with the current traction sitting at less than 1% of SAM and no incumbent competition, the headroom for growth is massive.
Partnering with companies with a purpose is something we love to do. Seeing the mission-driven approach by the team to achieve and exceed the standards of being a B Corp — which is a verified accreditation by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability — further added to the attraction of partnering on their raise.
We supported Just Move In on their value proposition, through the close relationships they have with partners on their distribution side and those on the supply side, to build a comprehensive suite of documents for an institutionally focussed raise. This work led to Just Move In closing their $5m funding round, led by Industry Angels, Prefcap Ventures, institutional funds, and the Crowd @ Crowdcube
