Speaker Highlight: Eric Voorhees, Sam Bankman-Fried and many more to speak at REIMAGINE V10.0

The REIMAGINE conference is launching on August 15th, 2021, at 6 p.m. EST and is set to highlight the most innovative and forward-thinking minds in the crypto and blockchain space.

To mention a few, Erik Voorhees, founder of ShapeShift, will speak about his company’s revolutionary platform for cryptocurrency trading; David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple, will talk about how he first saw Bitcoin as freedom from the oppression of traditional finance; Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of Alameda Research, will speak on his billion-dollar company’s next moves; and Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Bitfinex & Tether, will appear to discuss Tether’s industry-leading transparency and report on its reserves.

Sam Bankman-Fried

Sam Bankman-Fried, an MIT graduate and former Wall Street ETF trader, will be speaking at REIMAGINE for the first time. He founded Alameda Research in 2017, a quantitative crypto trading firm that manages $2.5 billion of assets. He will be sharing his opinions on crypto derivatives trading, given that in 2019, he launched FTX, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange with the goal of making it easy to trade on all major exchanges from one account.

Erik Voorhees

Erik Voorhees (CEO of ShapeShift) is not new to REIMAGINE. The startup founder and entrepreneur with an unwavering dedication to the principles of freedom will make a second appearance at the conference after his last visit in 2020.

He has been involved in all aspects of developing and distributing Bitcoin since 2009, when he founded the first U.S.-based Bitcoin exchange, Bitinstant (acquired by Kraken). Erik’s common-sense approach to business opportunities quickly made him one of the world’s most recognizable bitcoin advocates. Voorhees’ pragmatic approach has led to a seismic shift of the once centralized ShapeShift exchange into a decentralized platform.

Paolo Ardoino

Paolo Ardoino is a leading technologist supporting the backbone of the crypto industry. Being CTO of both Bitfinex & Tether (the world’s largest stablecoin by market cap), he started coding at age eight. and went on to get involved in distributed systems mid-way through his career, before reading the Bitcoin whitepaper in 2012. Paolo joined Bitfinex as a Senior Software Developer in 2014, working on trading engines and eventually transitioning to high ranks of CTO.

Scott Melker

Scott Melker is an expert trader and investor, as well as the Wolf of All Streets. He has been trading for more than 20 years, using his knowledge to help others grow their portfolios. He is the host of “The Wolf Of All Streets Podcast” which is a go-to source for crypto insights from an all-around expert in the space.

Mark Yusko

Mark W. Yusko is an American investor, hedge fund manager, and philanthropist. The founder of Morgan Creek Capital Management will be making a sixth appearance at REIMAGINE, where he last discussed a variety of issues related to crypto adoption and blockchain. Yusko is the founder, chief investment officer, and managing director of Morgan Creek Capital Management.

Alex Mashinsky

Apart from being the CEO of Celsius Network (a blockchain-enabled investment platform), Alex Mashinsky is also a serial founder of technology firms in the United States and a leader in developing advanced telecommunications technologies. He founded Arbinet in 1996 as a commodity exchange for telecommunication companies to trade unused long-distance minutes.

Dave Jevans

Dave Jevans is a man of many hats. He used to write code for a living, and now he’s the CEO of CipherTrace (a platform that develops cryptocurrency Anti-Money Laundering, cryptocurrency forensics, and blockchain threat intelligence solutions). His interest in crypto started in the early 2000s, even before Bitcoin emerged.

Leslie Lamb

Leslie Lamb is a seasoned, savvy professional with over a decade of experience in finance. She understands the intricacies of financial markets and how to build relationships with clients.

As Head of Institutional Sales at Amber Group, she provides insight into market dynamics and trends, as well as executing on strategic partnerships for business development that drive growth opportunities. Leslie is also an award-winning TV producer/host who created Crypto Unstacked — a weekly podcast that explores cryptocurrencies from a business perspective.

Sean Lee

Sean Lee is a highly accomplished executive with extensive experience in both the start-up and global technology space. He has been CEO of Algorand Foundation since June 2018, where he leads a talented global team of researchers, operators, and marketers to fulfill the global promise of blockchain technology by leveraging the Algorand protocol and open-source software.

Paul Brody

Paul Brody is a Global Blockchain Leader at EY. He drives initiatives and investments in blockchain tech across consulting, audit and tax business lines.

He has 20 years of consulting and strategy experience in mobile and electronics. Prior to joining EY, he served as Vice President and Global Industry Leader of Electronics at IBM.

David Schwartz

David Schwartz is a skilled and experienced cryptographer. He has been the CTO at Ripple since 2013, developing XRP Ledger, one of the most innovative software projects in finance.

He also serves as an advisor to several companies on strategic planning for emerging technologies such as distributed payment systems and secure computing. His expertise is in cryptography, computer security, and software development, particularly for startups or quickly-growing small companies with big ideas that are seeking to scale quickly without sacrificing quality or security.
