Move Me Poetry

A Landscape of Words

like flowers scattered against the whims of war

language lives (author photo)

We meet again,
faces lit in shadows,
hidden behind black screens
titled with names now familiar,
voices greeting
in cheerful anticipation of
lessons, connections.
The door bravely barred to the blustering bellows of war.
