Move Me Poetry

a person reborn

A tumultuous sea

Photo by Johannes Plenio on Unsplash

I’m drifting now — further from the shoreline of who I became —
closer to the mystery of who I will be.

And all this drifting seems like one big mistake
as I wrangle the sails of my dilapidated boat.

Dark clouds linger at the horizon’s edge,
and I can see lightning warning ahead.
