Ever wondered
Why do certain life forms
Brings us closer
To the state of bliss
The cuddle of a puppy
The purr of a kitten
The smile of a baby
Happiness that is hard to miss

What is it
Within them
That resonates so deep
With our souls
A sensation
That melts
The facade
Of our roles

They are
A manifestation of life
In its
Purest form
Free from
The human condition
They embody stillness
And love is their norm

They teach us
About life
More than
Any of our institutions
Being present
In every moment
A tender expression
Of universal solutions

Since time began
They have brought
Lost humans closer
To the shores of their true self
An experience
Worth recognizing
And blissful enough
For the memory’s bookshelf

I call them
Blissful beings
Free from
Right and wrong
Unburdened by
Concepts
They sing
a wordless peace song
