Euphoric In A Chaotic World

Here’s to not losing hope in the face of all its problems.

Welcome to my imaginary show—

psychedelic strobes of light, and I in the spotlight of it all
they dance to my voice behind the roaring delight of that 80s rock and punk stuff that I call ‘childhood’
and I begin to drift into a slo-mo moment—euphoric, that’s how I’d describe it
all the world’s troubles drift to another world as my body slows into an imaginary show
one that only I know—the one escape when I lose hope in a world that rages on:

in a world that continues to dance as I learn to give it another chance.
