Move Me Poetry

Father Time

A poem, titled after Kendrick Lamar’s song.

It’s been ten years now
Since last I saw your face

I wonder if I’d recognise it now,
Or pass you at our meeting place
Unaware.

I thought of writing you some letters,
All the drafts still in my drawer.
A sense of loss for that which lives,
The thoughts forever gnawing.
