Gatekeepers

Eventually, you meet someone,
And if you like them enough,
You make them gatekeepers to your happiness;
Whenever you are sad,
It’s their name that pops up,
Because you know they know exactly what to do to cheer you up;
When you’re happy,
You want to share every ounce of that happiness with them,
Because they are your special human;
And eventually,
They become part of your growth,
And…
