I Could’ve Used Some Magic

I could’ve used some magic.
I could’ve used it to fill that void growing inside,
but you moved too fast.
Don’t you know that story would have changed my life,
maybe even saved it,
but you deemed it wrong,
leaving me with just dusty shelves and plain pages,
nothing to lose myself in and find myself again.

but I am not you.
