Move Me Poetry

I Thought It’d Be Forever

But my father and I had only twelve years together.

I dedicate this poetry for my father.

We had only twelve years together
It was extremely short
It was irreplaceable time.

We had only twelve years together
I was an innocent little girl
I was too young to love you better.

We had only twelve years together
You were a very kind and gentle man
You were very good at hiding your pain.

We had only twelve years together
I thought it’d be forever — We played in this playground
I thought it’d be forever — I stopped playing when it ended.

We had only twelve years together
The moment with you, I’d been in transport of delight
The moment without you, I’ve been in teleport of sorrow.

We had only twelve years together
I grew up while longing your existence
I drew the heaven If I met you there.

We had only twelve years together
I look at every picture of you and me
I look up at somewhere you may live.

We had only twelve years together
I remember you
I yearn for you.
