Move Me Poetry

Nothing But Memory

I hated school, but it’s now a ghost walking the corridors of my mind.

I never liked the classroom.
I never liked sitting at that desk,
trapped, forced to spend time
sitting there, attempting to learn
when I didn’t care what I was being taught.
It meant nothing to me.
I only looked through the window,
staring out at the world,
wondering about my future
because no one ever asked me…
