led me to the room,
where I would wait before my procedure.
A nurse, Amy came to ask her questions
and to get me ready.
Both young women full of smiles and light,
such contrast from life and
the weight of Covid,
and I couldn’t help
but feel relaxed.
I wasn’t worried about this procedure.

on my mind,
