Unseen, For Now

A poem by Moony Thinker

A station wagon driving down a snow covered road with snow covered mountain peaks in the not too far horizon. On each side of the road are the still in shadow, morning is rising, pine trees.

You don’t see me;
You don’t see me;
You don’t
Do you…?

Of course you don’t
Right here.
I’m invisible…
To you — to

For now;
I am air which
Takes no shape
Or form;
Just something
There, but
You don’t see me.

You don’t see me…
Not yet; but,
One day —
You will

We go through life seeking to be seen, to be recognized by our communities. The list of reasons for being recognized is various and depends on each person’s unique sense of inadequacy.

I do the same, and at times I feel unrecognizable for anything extraordinary. These moments can feel defeating. However, keep hope by reminding yourself: I will be seen, someday; so I must never give up.

Be well, my friends.

Hey my friends!

I am starting another art project. This one is focusing on artists of all kinds where I interview them. I plan to make a series of these interviews and to call them collectively Dreaming While Awake. The point of these interviews is to better understand the artist’s focus, discipline methods, hopes, dreams, projects, and what they are moving towards.

For those interested, please reach out to me through one of my various connections shared in my LinkTree down below!

Moony's Poems

30 stories
A eight panel, lift up, rectangular wide but square shaped window glowing with incoming light into a darker space impeding seeing outside from the distance the picture is taken. The walls are scrapped and peeling of paint and wall sections; with the left side we are facing exposed brick.

Moony's Blogs

17 stories
A neon, tube lettering sign which reads “Say it louder”
An individual staring above at the cascading experience of multiple colors with the scraping of the edge wing of the Milky Way Galaxy slicing through the middle

Motivation Series

5 stories
A collection of natural images such as the ground of a forest, desert extending higher through the natural layers of our existence (moving through the trees, to the mountains, sky, then stars) showing our place in this reality of current.
A collage with different pieces added focusing on the discipline of a person and why discipline is the importance to achieving anything great.
