Hi Mary, Take Me to Church
Performed by: Kasia Wolinska§ and friends
Songs: The commodores “just to be close to you”, Kenny rogers. “Mary, did you know?”, Wolinska&Plawgo. “Bunnywhale”

Hi Mary, Take me to Church is the 10th performative episode of Hi Mary. We’re opening the archive of four years of practice to reveal how Hi Mary tries to call the absent into presence: vague explanations, rejoicing in old, nearly forgotten choreographic material and ghosting of the latest attempts of waiting for Mary. Plus kitchen songs, fluff and the many faces of White Bunny. Come, even though this time there won’t be any food (or perhaps we will reconsider this). And again, come, although this time for sure there won’t be any Lionel Richie songs (promise). Thanks to Julia Plawgo, Ewa Wolińska, Agnieszka Wolinska, Mateusz Szymanówka, Agata Siniarska, Tatiana Kamieniecka, Oleg Dziewanowski, Diego Agullo, Robert WAsiewicz, Dorian Batycka and Juan Felipe Amaya Gonzalez

„A Score” is a movement practice in which the process of transformation — of constant re-forming, minimalizing and maximizing, subjugating and liberating of the single gesture and emotion — plays the key role. The practice of mindfulness allows us to notice the smallest change and decompose it into the prime factors. Thus it opens the way for conscious manipulations. Continuous construction and deconstruction, layering and reducing, reveals the body as a site of never ending play of endless amount of meanings and emotions.
