In light of the ongoing coronavirus situation, Movidiam’s co-founders have sent out an update to everyone on our network. Here it is.

In these globally uncertain times, it’s tough to look past the immediate challenges facing the creative production industry. Here at Movidiam, we’ve seen first hand how difficult the situation is at the moment.
Finding opportunities in flexible working, including working remotely, is something we’ve thought a lot about over the last five years. Just ask our team; working behind the scenes from their living rooms.
Naturally, we’re seeing a significant reduction in live-action shoots at the moment, but the number of teams looking to build ideas is ever-growing. As is the need for those jobs that can be achieved remotely — animations, new edits, expansions on to new and innovative platforms. Great ideas are still fuelling the industry and are ultimately what will flourish in the long term.
If nothing more, perhaps I can encourage you to connect with more people — get networking, sharing experiences, thoughts, and challenges. This is why we built the Movidiam Network — to bring the global creative community closer together and create new opportunities. This new enforced remote working experiment is an opportunity to trial new workflows and improve connectedness, wherever you are.
As well as advice on connectivity, the team at Movidiam is committed to practical solutions in this difficult time. We are working on a range of new measures to generate new opportunities and projects, and provide support however we can.
Similarly, our other activities will go on. The Movidiam Creative Leader’s podcast has plenty of episodes lined up, and we have new features planned on all aspects of the creative industry, in order to continue sharing knowledge and insights. Check out our social channels to keep up to date.
Using new models and technology we can all help each other to remain connected and informed, regardless of how uncertain the world is at the moment. To do our part, Movidiam will be sending out regular updates about exciting things going on in the industry, on the network, and beyond.
